Simplify Your NAB Show in Five Easy Steps

The 2018 NAB Show is on the horizon and approaching quickly! You’ve already reserved your booth, booked your flight and hotel room, and started planning meetings with your customers and prospective clients, but your work is not done.

Follow these five steps to ensure you have a smooth show.

Get Your Stinkin’ Badges

Be sure to register all staff members who will be attending the show. Adding people once you get to the show can be a hassle, particularly when you’re ready to get to work on your booth and start connecting with customers.

Push Your Promotions

Provide valued customers and prospective clients with guest passes. Push your show presence and events on social media. Send out email blasts inviting show guests to stop by your booth for a demo, to enter a contest, or to join you and your team for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.

Fine-Tune Your Press Conference Details

If you’re planning to hold a press conference at the Las Vegas Convention Center, then you have probably booked your time and space already. Now make sure that people know about it! For press conferences or events at your booth, send out invitations and start collecting RSVPs.

Prepare Those Press Releases

Press releases announcing new products, partnerships, or initiatives should be completed and distributed at least two weeks before the show to boost visibility and drive booth traffic. Don’t forget to put them into your press kit along with any collateral related to the news.

Use the Preshow Chaos to Get Content Placed

Because everyone in the trade press is so busy preparing for the show, editors are relying on manufacturers to help them fill space with worthy editorial. Good content is in short supply and demand is high. That’s why now is a great time to get user stories and customer case studies placed in trade publications. You can raise your profile in the press and generate material that can be easily repurposed to serve as collateral for the show.
